Teams compete in trading to increase their wealth
Trading Post is set in the wild and lawless town of Dodge City in the 1860s - a time of great opportunity, and yet where disaster awaits the unwary and the ill-informed. The game takes place over 4 years. Each year commences with teams trading and ends with them returning to returning to their respective wagons for a payout on certain goods. Here families share knowledge.
As the game progresses, teams develop relationships with other teams and share gained knowledge. A versatile activity it can be played by 12 to 800 people as a company training activity, during a conference, pre-dinner or after dinner activity.
Trading Post is a supercharged game of information gathering, haggling and building trust - an excellent icebreaker or conference interlude. A quick and clever activity where teams negotiate and trade to maximise their returns. Although this is a competitive exercise, the most successful teams are those that collaborate with others to build win-win outcomes while at the same time focusing on their own bottom line results.
It is particularly successful as an event that will break down barriers and unite groups while reinforcing the key principles of negotiating. During a review process, winning strategies are shared and pertinent learning is applied to the workplace.
Thank you for a great time - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Trading Post is not only great fun it has helped out team to bond and ignited strategic thinking and improved their networking skills.
